Raku Fish

Raku firing is pretty tricky, but the end results are down right fabulous. Mike not only uses a special clay, but different glazes and firing techniques. He does these pieces in small batches and only when the weather permits.

Octopus in Action

Nothing like a clan of octopeds to make your day a bit brighter! These guys are all custom made by hand. As you can see a few are in the kiln with their fishy buddies and several waiting on those taxidermy eyes.

You may have noticed some of Mike's Fish with Attitude are the same shape, there is a reason for that! No, Mike isn't OCD...he casts some fish from molds. That means a fish like these will have the same shape but look totally different in each finish.
